Morjim Beach
4.1 km
The closest and the quietest of them, and a nesting beach for Olive Ridley turtles. Wide flat sand where the Chapora meets the sea.
Chopdem sits at the top of the Siolim bridge, which puts most of North Goa inside a short drive. Distances are by road from the gate, and everything below has a directions button that opens a route map without leaving the page.

Above Vagator
The hilltop fort at the mouth of the river, rebuilt by the Portuguese in the seventeenth century on older Adil Shahi walls. A short climb, and the view back over the estuary is the reason to go.
Over the bridge
The morning catch sold to buyers from the surrounding villages. Go early — by the middle of the morning the good baskets are gone.
9.8 km
Red cliffs at the north end with the fort above them. Busier than Morjim, and the first of the beaches that keeps going after dark.
10.5 km
Rocky at the edges, and the flea market is the reason most people make the drive. Worth timing your trip against market day.
11.2 km
The furthest north of the run, with the sweetwater lake behind the sand and a long walk out to the headland.
Morjim is the closest and the quietest. Everything south of the bridge gets busier as you go.

Baga Beach

Several are within walking distance of the road, and the Siolim churches are worth seeing whether or not you are going for a service.
